Debt Admin System
This project had a real impact on people's lives. It improved how citizens accessed tax debt services and how internal teams managed public debt collection, affecting more than 2 million users and ranked among Brazil's top 3 most innovative digital public-sector solutions.

Focus
No bureaucracy. Full control. Debt, simplified.
The Municipal Attorney General's Office (PGM) in Fortaleza manages billions of reais in public tax debt annually. Accountants and lawyers working with the city had no unified view of their clients' debt collection process, couldn't generate reliable reports, and had no way to track case progress in real time.
I built a system where users can see the full collection process of their clients in one place and generate reports digitally, ready to deliver by email or print. This helped them track the progress of each case and make faster decisions with each client.
Lead Product Designer
I led the end-to-end design process, from discovery research with lawyers and accountants through to final delivery. I was responsible for user research, competitive audits, user flows, and the creation of the design system. I collaborated directly with the engineering team and product stakeholders at PGM, while also maintaining direct contact with users. I was the only designer on the product, owning every screen and the design system from research through handoff.
Key Screens
The interface gives users a complete overview of all registered debts, with smart filters for quick navigation and a one-click report generation feature. Each screen was designed to reduce cognitive load and surface the most critical information first.
Reports with one click
Fast, clear, and ready-to-use reports in seconds.
Track every debt at a glance
Quickly monitor debt status and trends.
From Discovery to Delivery
The design process was grounded in user research and validation at every stage. From initial discovery interviews with accountants and lawyers, through wireframe testing and post-launch feedback loops, each iteration was informed by real user insights. The system was built on a coherent design language, defining color, typography, iconography, and interaction patterns before building screens.
Key design decision: We prioritised one scannable debt overview instead of a multi-tab workflow. Interviews showed users lost context when they jumped between screens; early wireframes that split cases and reports tested poorly, so we collapsed the hierarchy into a single dashboard with one-click reporting.

What impact did I make?
In the first year after launch, the platform drove a 135% increase in municipal tax revenue, from R$66M (≈€11M) to R$155M (≈€27M), equivalent to the full annual active debt collection scale for a city of 2 million people. The system was recognized among Brazil's Top 3 public sector innovations, selected from over 600 projects.
